googleabl documentation (which is not up-to date), but could not find
any hints.

I was to proceed to install the Ubuntu MATE 16.04 Alpha 2 in Japanese (日本語).
After the installation work, Japanese view of the slide show has encountered a
problem that changes in Serif Font.
It might have been output in the Chinese font.
I also tried
Yes, tomoe_musashi, they may well be related somehow. I'm not sure,
though, that "Noto Sans CJK SC" would be picked in case of a Japanese
locale, considering that "Noto Sans CJK JP" exists.
I decided to let language-selector-common provide the contents of the
proposed fonts-noto-cjk patch, and
I have posted a message on the raspbian forum about webgl and netflix+chromium.
They say that h264 decoding using webgl is not feasible with netflix because of
the drm used:

If that's true this is really bad news because
i915 does not have native shader support so mesa simulate that with
llvmpipe, using i915 only for blitting.. So a less demanding - (but also
not existing) fixed-function gl-1.x backend is the probably your best
chance to use that gpu with unity8.

Just some news to inform you that mesa drivers have been included in the
official raspian dist since 09-02-2016:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/another-new-raspbian-release/
Warning: You have to enable it through rasp-config(advanced settings->gl
options) and then reboot.
I'have test it on
Mesa in Ubuntu has a patch for i915 that disables OpenGL 2.0 but not
GLES 2,0. Thats why all mir clients and the unity8 session starts up..
since mirserver always use GL|ES.
Regular qt clients do the EGL init in a different path and they insist
on GL 2.0.
When you recompile mesa without that
