profile is part of the firefox package as demonstrated here (first file

It turns out /dev/nvidia-modeset is a red herring. If I add the
following line to /etc/apparmor.d/local/usr.bin.firefox:

Does it work though? In Caja? Do you get the restore/revert options when
you right-click?
Cause if I understand correctly those are allowed by libdeja-dup.so in
/usr/lib/[x86_64-linux-gnu]/nautilus/extensions-3.0, so perhaps Caja
looks into a different directory (.../caja/extensions-3.0?).
Update: if I switch AppArmor to complain mode, the refresh problems
disappear. Here is a syslog excerpt with the AppArmor audit lines
(notice the third one about /dev/nvidia-modeset):

Firefox downloads pages and interpretes them (otherwise it could not complain
about a password automatically filled into a form on an unencrypted web site,
