It looks like chromium 57 has been pushed to the ppa. I tried it on
trusty, and it works. I noticed one difference compared to chrome 57.
Flash has been deprecated in chrome 57, and set to on-demand only.
Ironically, chromium runs flash by default. The on-demand setting
doesn't exist on chromium 57

Also, this is how it supposed to work. If gdm thinks it cannot start
wayland session, it wont display Wayland option.
Why does gdm thinks Wayland session is not available you ask? Because I
presume you have modesetting disabled, because installation or update
for nvidia

I guess this is obvious. But this bug still happens in Xenial.

I see the same thing at 16.04
The problem is that I want the first native resolution and not the scaled up
version.
When it scales up it looks like something a 800 x 600 386 days.
At 16.10 it just goes straight to the wrong resolution.
This seems like a case of 2 wrong turns don't make a right t
Any suggestions on how those of us affected by this can retroactively
fix our systems? I am using "sudo dhclient p1p1" after every boot to get
the ethernet up, but some programs such as "evolution" still do not have
internet access.
