Pat commented on a similar problem on amd64 in a PPA not meant for

runs fine with Java 8, and the declared package dependencies also
reflects that.
For an LTS, I'm suggesting to keep the compatiblity to Java 8,
especially since upstream Gradle works fine with Java 8 (even the

Please test xserver from ppa:canonical-x/x-staging
It has a patch where the server should fall back to using fb instead of
crashing. You need to uninstall x-x-v-intel and then log out and back
in, before seeing if it works or not.

I guess it doesn't show up in Yaru, but it does show up, albeit, nicely
in Adwaita. I'm using NewAdwaita-slim and I've fixed it already this
theme by doing what Yaru does: hides it since the height can't be
changed.
