Did a clean saucy install on the laptop of my wife and she got affected
by this. Would gladly help debug.
Not sure if it helped or not, since I only tried one reboot so far, but
others could also try putting the keyboard layout in ~/.dmrc - at least
for one login it helped but will need to check

Can confirm this here too. Did not realize it was related to the -h
option until I found this bug - I thought it was broken for Raring until
launch day came :) I also have -h in startup apps and removing it +
logging out and back helped.

Can confirm this too. I reported #1134765 yesterday but didn't remember

Bryce, would love to try this but I'm a bit worried that this is a
raring PPA with for example xserver-common 2:1.13.2-0ubuntu3 based
package and my system (12.10) has 2:1.13.0-0ubuntu6.1 installed. Warning
bells in my head say upgrading could break my work computer.
What do you think? Any chance

Been very annoyed at this for a while, finally decided to investigate
what it was - couldn't use HUD at all and no update has fixed this. Been
