I think this bug broke my desktop when upgrading to Ubuntu 17, but I'm

I didnt see a bug for the 6.04 tex-common, so im submitting this. I did an in

Quick update: I just rebooted after installing the .deb files provided by AMD
and now unity won't log me in any more. :(
I boot with option 'nomodeset' and reach the unity login screen. The I try to
log in, then the screen goes blank, and then I am back to the login again.

The command line that cause this was:

I downloaded AMD's latest and tried to install them. Upon running those
installers, something with fglrx crashed in the background and caused
apport to appear. Not quite sure how and why

Is there any update to this crash problem? I am still experiencing the
issue of chromium crashing with no error report. In the previous post on
the 9th of September it was said that something would be happening
within 8-10 days. I am keeping my system upto date but maybe im not
