I looked at firefox snap and didn't see a --classic confinement option
to install.. But, I am also new to snap so I might just be ignorant of
how to apply this setting

Also, I noticed that my firefox snap is not classic version so I am not
sure if that makes a difference.

Disabling Firebug does resolve my issue.
Last version where issue didn't appear was Firefox version 12.0.1

This issue started (July 17th 2012) I was doing some web browsing (with firefox
v13 64bit-amd)and when using the HUD globalmenu on firefox (I pressed the alt
button within firefox) and it immediately crashed. I expected it to allow me to
search for firefox menu options.
