I just add that the status light of the hardware key and the status
shown by the network indicator are tightly coupled (as they should be).
For example, when I turn wifi off using the indicator, the LED light on
the HW button switches its colour from white (signalling the ON status)
to the orange
I do have the latest version of BIOS installed. My computer is a dual-
boot one so that it installs BIOS updates when it runs Windows 7. The
problem with the brightness level persists. I am using ubuntu-MATE (see

When installing the ubuntu 14.04 system (32-bit), I opted for the Slovak
language.
I am the only user on the machine.
As expected, I got the Slovak directory names Plocha, Dokumenty, Stiahnuté, etc
(instead of their English names Desktop, Documents, Downloads, etc).
Later
I forgot to say that my files within Plocha were write-protected (and
readable only by me: permisions -r ). The directory Plocha has
drwxr-xr-x , same as the newly created Desktop .
Anyway, the -r file permisions should not prevent the language-
selector to do its job

At the moment I can not examine the bug on the machine (the Fujitsu-

require to install the new system on the machine's hard drive. Once I
can do the installation I will send the apport info. (Perhaps in few

Two days ago I tested development version of ubuntu 13.04 i386 on a

The bug is still there. It is present on any hardware I have tested so

The bug is extremly annoying for me because I
I can not verify it at the moment. I am using ubuntu 11.04 on that

notebook in a close future. Then I will check it and let you know.

I would like to say that my initial observation and report of the bug

constant computational load as a condition for bug occurrence.
No such a computational load is needed to see the buggy behaviour.
