David, this fix is just for the symptom, not the real problem, which is
why _stop is being called. I'm still looking at the best way to fix it,
which so far seems to use the _sync version of g_bus_get, to avoid
undesired callbacks, or keep a way to cancel the ongoing dbus call.

[UIFe] system informations should show the Ubuntu
Is anyone experiencing this crash consistently (i.e. more than just once
when upgrading)? If so, can you please try my patch? To do so:
$ bzr branch lp:~ubuntu-desktop/gnome-settings-daemon/ubuntu test-gsd-fix
$ cd test-gsd-fix
$ bzr bd -- -b
after building, packages will be in ../build-area, so
In Natty we had the same behavior of suspending when idle on battery by
default, right Seb?
I'm not arguing what's best though, so I'm happy to use whatever default
makes more sense.

The screen panel in the GNOME control center doesn't offer the option to
never turn the screen off, which was present in Natty. Adding it is very
easy, as we just need a new item in the combo box and gnome-settings-
daemon already knows what to do if the timeout is 0 (which is
1 - 100 of 278 matches
