Sorry for the delay even after switching back to the Wayland with the
hack for almost 25 days i was unable to reproduce this and was about to
conclude it to be fixed somehow, but today it happened(finally ! 🙃 ).

It occurred today, the GDM screen also appears very slow.
Compressed all the files in a zip file as i could not figure attaching multiple
files at one go with launchpad.
Note: This occurred with the x11 session as i have not yet enabled the
hack for wayland session although i can confirm this to

recently when logging in to Ubuntu desktop with GDM the screen appears
black only with cursor appearing as it is, rebooting fixes the problem

Although the hack works but randomly it leads a lot of time to screen
blank/hangs resulting in to reboot the device and hence i have disabled

desktop defaulted to Wayland along-with an option for x11.
Do, you need the latest copy of journalctl or anything else ?

gdm3 and Unity session. It appears the cause of the failure reported in
syslog is not clear and not related to 'df' command failure; except that
the history in syslog showed GLib-GObject-CRITICAL errors, with no other

A work around that works for me is killing the NetworkManager process
using "sudo killall NetworkManager". The daemon re-starts and the
network is restored.

I have just installed libimobiledevice 1.1.0-3ubuntu1 from natty-
proposed, and I am still getting the "Unhandled lockdown error" message.
I have tested this after rebooting, and I have upgraded my iphone to iOS
5 released yesterday.
