sometimes my wifi completely stops working. Restarting network manager
doesn't help, nor does removing and reinserting the wireless driver. I

switched to Oracle Java this morning and so far I have not had a crash,
although it is still early days. I will let you know if I do get another

I frequently find that audio streams in pulseaudio are playing at the
wrong speed. They are either a bit slow or a bit fast. To my ears I
would say that the difference in pitch is probably around one tone, or

The screenshot for Bug #1005717 isn't the same thing as my problem with
the horizontal lines but it does look a bit like the incident with the
text from last night in that each character is corrupted in a particular
way.

suggests. I am currently trying to sync 1GB of Gmail data and you would
really be forgiven for thinking Evolution has completely stalled because
there is no information and all the little spinning wheel animations
have all stopped spin
As a kind of workaround, do alt-F2 and then "unity". All your windows
will get dumped on the same workspace, but at least your alt-tab will be
working properly again.

Is there a realistic chance that this bug will ever be fixed? As one of
the other comments above points out, it has a nine year history. It
really does make collaboration with MS Word users very hard, and jobs
such as proofreading and editing completely impossible.
