It worked! Thanks! This is what I did. First, I installed hda-jack-retask (http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/pulseaudio-discuss/2011-December/012342.html) Then, I used the command "hda-jack-retask" to open up the console. I used the first option, overide under 0x14. I also did the same for 0x1

@Daniel - I ran that command. The thing that I noticed is that, it gives me "Alsa-Driver (not installed)." Currently trying to run the sudo apt- get install to install it.
