With hplip 3.15.11 I still have the same problem.
Every time I have to boot the computer I need to uninstall and reinstall hplip

FWIW I've completely removed hplip and removed the printer. Set it up
again using the CUPS interface:

Tonight I got to print something - printer shows job started and then
completed however nothing happens. I turned off and the on printer,
tried again, nothing. Changed USB cable port on hub, nothing. Ran sudo
lsusb, printer is seen, ran hp-setup printer not seen. Ran hp-doctor,
printer not seen. Al
Install the latest (or already downloaded 3.15.2 run file)
