I figured this was because it was not a final version. However, it looks
like version 81.0.4044.122 is now in the repos, and it crashes as well.

1. --no-xshm fixes the problem.
2. The following environment variables fix the problem:
export QT_X11_NO_MITSHM=1
export _X11_NO_MITSHM=1
export _MITSHM=0
3. Version 81.0.4044.113-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 from https://launchpad.net

Could you also test chromium-browser 81.0.4044.113-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 from
the stage PPA at https://launchpad.net/~canonical-chromium-
builds/+archive/ubuntu/stage ? I do
There is a related bug in the Vivaldi forum. The command line argument
--no-xshm fixes the bug. And the bug seems to only affect the 64bit
version.

Same issue (version 80.0.3987.87-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 on 16.04 Xenial),
although mine shows up as yellow-green. Downgrading to
79.0.3945.130-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 fixed the problem.
