Mathieu and I discussed this yesterday, and we think this does not
require new icons after all, just some renaming.
Step 1: In ubuntu-mono, rename nm-device-wired to nm-device-wired-panel,
rename nm-device-wireless to nm-device-wireless-panel, rename nm-device-
wwan to nm-device-wwan-panel, and
Opening a task for ubuntu-mono: I'll need an additional set of icons
for:
nm-device-wired
nm-device-wireless
nm-device-wwan
nm-vpn-standalone-lock
nm-no-connection
To be the *light* variant in the dark theme (i.e. color inverse of the
others in the theme). This will be used to display the icons
I'm ambivalent on whether the icons should be retained. On the one hand,
(non-document) tabs shouldn't have both icons and text in their titles.
On the other, tabs aren't scalable to future connection types, multiple
network adapters, etc, so I think they eventually should change from
tabs to a

icons, shouldn't be too complicated, I hope ;)

Turns out the goal is to have icons match what's chosen by the theme, so
disabling them is the only option. I'll do a bit of testing to see how
bad it looks with no icons, and maybe upload that.
