Upstream report has moved to

but has seen no activity for 7 years
Not an issue here with rhythmbox 3.4.3 and Ubuntu 20.04 (dev)
So closing as fixed.
This bug no longer applies to neither Ubuntu 12.04.4 nor 14.04.

Also affects me on Precise, rhythmbox 2.96
I have a 41:19 long mp3 file, it's 100 mb, and if I try to navigate through the
progress bar, it'll freeze, and the only thing I can to kill it.

I installed ubuntu-restricted-extras before using Rhythmbox, which
should have pulled all the gstreamer plugins (ffmpeg, bad, ugly and
fluendo). I double-checked my installation anyway, the gstreamer0.10
-plugins-ugly is installed.
