A question, I downloaded the archive and built the release target.

Yay, I can vote +1. I reran the tests and they succeeded.
I believe the failure was due to a timing issue.
Cheers,
Susan

I ran the full test suite on java8 with no failures.

Hi,
I want to vote a +1, but my test run failed.
Here is the output after running ./gradlew test .. everything up until this
point succeeded:
objc[56396]: Class JavaLaunchHelper is implemented in both
/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk1.8.0_101.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java

Hi,
+1 binding
I checked:
- incubating in name
- signatures and hashes correct
- DISCLAIMER exists
- LICENSE good
- Source NOTICE fine. The binary NOTICE is a little odd in it refers to
external files but we can fix that in a later release.
- No unexpected binaries in source release
- All source
I’ve created 1.0.0-incubating/rc2 under [4] and it’s time to vote!!!
Before voting, see "The Vote" section in [2]
[ ] +1 accept
[ ] -1 reject
Voting will be open until Dec 6th (unless we have a definitive binding vote
majority prior to that).
