Hey Richard,
I hope it's not too late for me to congratulate you as well! I've been
"away" from this ML since I've taken up a new job (in a new country too) as
well. But it's time to get back into the groove...
Best regards.

I am not sure what you are talking about.

If I recall correctly, it stopped all the bundles hence, my impression it
stopped the framework. I think this action is also valid after reading the
specs. However, I will try to reproduce it...
P.S. Any solution to re-ordering of the bundle ids?
Thanks.

ld one. This sequence may not be
exactly correct as I don't have the code in front of me. The other issue I
have was the re-ordering of the bundle-id's after bundles have been removed.
But this perhaps requires another discussion thread...

Of course, we would prefer to have both (backend
Felix and FE app server) on a single JVM which is the most ideal
scenario...

Oops... my earlier response was for R3. For R4, I had to set the
following in config.properties:

java.naming.factory.initial=org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory
java.naming.factory.url.pkgs=org.jboss.naming

Using a service may not always work.
For example the RMI JMX connector will access the

Yes, and it works very neatly too. I was thinking of the same thing for
JSR-124 which could be in the same lab if one is set up.

Is there any plan to support fragment bundles (3.14 of R4) soon in
Felix? I noticed that an issue has been opened -- FELIX-29 -- but no
work seems to have been done on it yet. Is there any reason or concern
why it is being postponed? Thanks.
