Due to lack of time, in the last few months, I've found it very
difficult to contribute and stay on top of Geronimo activities. So,
last month I informed the PMC that I would like to step down as the

It has not been released yet
These are dependencies only used by the tests (*-itests modules). They
are not exported or used by geronimo-osgi-locator or
geronimo-osgi-registry so it all should be ok.

Some of the new Java EE 7 spec API (as for example servlet 3.1)
requires Java 7 to build. For that I created genesis-java7-flava in
genesis with Java 7 settings and updated the specs module to compile
with Java 7. Buildbot was updated as well to use Java 7 for the

I don't know about others but my source tree is usually polluted with
patch files and other files that I create during
development/testing/debugging. With Rat enabled by default my build
will fail (as it does currently after doing svn up on xbean). So I
would prefer to either delay RAT until the de

I think it's probably a good time to have a new Geronimo 3 release
(3.0.1?). We've fixed a bunch of stuff, upgraded Tomcat, OpenJPA, and
fixed Java 7 complication issues. TCK is also looking pretty good now.
