Still have questions/concerns? I plan on removing those extra alias
entries in the next release, which will probably be in a couple weeks

Again, the artifact-alias allows for users to upgrade prior levels of
the plugins if they are installed. Since we're starting a 2.2.1 release
countdown, I decided to put 2.2.2-SNAPSHOT support in now, so the
plugins wouldn't be outdated in a month.
