Hey all,
I'm trying to take some time to figure out the right way to do support to
future 'pluggable' features/extensions to modifying tables. Specially, I'm
thinking about the 'alter' command, but in the future, this model could be

Interesting idea.

Java type repls are starting to get more love and are a little more
developed than they were when jruby was first used. Is is time to start
considering a more java repl (scala, clojure, groovy, et al) ? All of
those would have less of a translation of

Hi
I have enabled metrics on Hbase cluster (0.90.1), and mapped the metrics to
3 categories (missing, Present but not documented/Incomplete

the book accordingly?

Thanks Mikael for the review. I'll put it in the docs queue.

One way out of this dilemma is to release one build, 0.92-security
Part of the justification is that the underlying hadoop distro is secure.
The assumption is that 0.92-security build can adequately handle insecure
hbase operations.
This would simplify the release process a lot.
Cheers
On Mon,
Releasing soon.
