That may explain why the initial install into the DESTDIR fails, but what is failing (the cp (copies)) in the second example - after the regular install has been completed. FYI: two+ years ago (2.2.13 and 2.2.16 I did not have the second problem, but then I was using the Apache layout) Thanks, Mi
