As far as I can tell mod_macro is new in 2.4 yet I cannot find it mentioned
in new features. I think it is well worth advertising since it has
simplified multiple virtual hosting immensely.

There are lots of non-mod_proxy modules that act as a proxy of one
sort or another -- shouldn't we just respect their date header if they
issue one?
