Hi
I'm planning to release the WAR Plugin this week. I've worked through
the issues scheduled for the 2.3 version in JIRA. A couple of them were
easy fixes that I've committed, but a few are larger. I'd like to push
the following to a later version, unless someone has time t

I finally find a solution. In the web-app/web-inf/lib directory, there was a
jar file who was sharing the same name with the dependent jar file.
For a reason i don't understand, maven-war-plugin used to take this old jar
file rather than the freshly one i installed in my local repos
running the web application.
Why is my jar trimmed ?

Hi
I'm going to try to push out a release of the WAR Plugin soonish. If
anyone has something to add to it, now is the time to do it (or ask for
more time).
Current release is 2.1-beta-1 and trunk is labeled 2.1-beta-2-SNAPSHOT.

Since I was the one who marked this as won't fix, I just wanted to confirm
that it isn't an issue of the war plugin per se but an antipattern just like

Nicolas,
You can disable the caching system and it will work. This is still an
alpha/beta feature (hence the reason why I was reluctant to call it 2.1 when
we cast the war plugin vote)
See http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-war-plugin/war-mojo.html#useCache
I'll try to find some ti
the dev and user list, then
you'll find that this has been reported sporadically also for the older
Maven versions. I'd expect this special problem to be gone with the
war-plugin 2.0-beta-1 - independent of Maven's version.
