I don't want to negatively bias the patches I sent in (as I obviously
think they are high priority :) but I am available to amend anything I
have sent in patches for if that helps the patch process.

- we are not noticing potential committers
I've been trying to do
he vendor branch the revisions as listed in the patch
files. Then I can merge the vendor branch changes over into my local
changes.
This is all new to me but the committers must do something similar
when applying patches and facing failed hunks. Is anyone able to
provide guidance or link

That's correct, and you've been doing a great job! That said, if you get
inclined on the core, you can submit patches for those that don't have them.
