Just my 2 cents, I like proposal B because it's different than other projects. Proposal A looks the same as every other project.TravisOn 1/18/06,

Good idea to have the mentioned subsite-textual logo on the right

+1 for using the easter island picture as an eye catcher
Maybe we could photoshop it some and make it more subtle.
+1 for color scheme C, though my personal feeling is that the
background of the top most header is a bit too cyan-ish and should
be more blue-ish (i.e. more like in A)
I agree
Tonight I'll put my gimp original files in people.apache.org if
someone wants to give them a shot.

Bruno

awesome stuff +1 from me too
One suggestion here -- the Easter Island faces, if left on the right
side of the page, should face toward the center of the page. Eye
tracking studies confirm that peoples eyes follow the direction that
faces are pointing on a page.
Funny,
that's what my girlfriends first remark was, too ;)

Hmm, I wonder which direction the MyFaces ascii logo points you :-)
Greg
Hi there,
We have now two different proposals about the web design. None of them
are definitive and we could get the best of both. So, as Martin has
proposed in another thread let's start a discussion.
I've captured two design snapshots of the two sites:
- Proposal A Classic -
Bruno,
thanks for your work!
I like the color scheme of Proposal A (aka classic)
but also like to see a nice image (that easter faces taken from
proposal B (aka easter )).
So, you are the designer. Can you *mix* them?
Proposal C (aka mixture) :-)

#1 Whether to use an image (as other mavenized apache sites do),
independantly of the ascii-face logo, or not
#2 In case of using an image, decide if the easter faces are ok.
For the image on the RHS I was thinking that we create images for each
module. Basically a simple text label image:
I like the icon of B on the upper-left side (feather + logo).
+1 on this btw.
I like option B,
apart from that the lower part is not as easily readable as text on
option A, so a change in color scheme is appropriate.
And I really love the easter-island faces.

Martin

Although, banner colours should be readjusted, but it is an idea.

Yes like the maven site but without the banner image. More like the
Struts site (except they do not currently change it for each
subproject.) Sorry but I do not like the Easter Island graphic. Its
too much (too busy) IMO
The mixture is better. I'll try and play around with possible color
schemes later tonight. Also, we should see if Chris Barlow has any
ideas. He's good with artwork and helped up come up with the current
myfaces feather logo.
What do you think about the other style changes I made? I like the
