But I'm more than happy to sign an iCLA - I'll send one off to ASF tomorrow.
All the best,

I think Mark Phipps and Pete Whelpton have committed quite some code and/or
have PRs that are significant -- would be great if they're provide iCLAs,
i.e., how do we want to approach this, just ask them, hope they see this,
etc?

To be pedantic, I fail to see how Oracle is relevant to how ASF
decides to resolve this issue, but it's one that's go
My projects are brand new and empty. I was just wondering why I had to modify
the POM to get it to compile in Windows and not Ubuntu. Not a big deal I was
just curious.

the JavaEE 8 schemas are no problem. Oracle provided these under GPLv2-

Hi,
Would it be possible to at make sure when PR created by non commiter is
created that this page has been read

This may give idea to contributor that he may sign iCLA by themselves and start

It really depends on the complexity of your project - however openJFX[1] has

Hi,
so for my understanding, a non Apache comitter that creates a PR to fix smth or
whatever, does also need one, right?
When I talk to colleagues about NetBeans contribution they say: „But I’m not a
Apache comitter.“ And some of them don’t want to sign such a „contract“. And I

Josh,
The JavaEE 8 schemas are still under LGPL right ? How do you manage that ?

Hi,
Someone asked about this - in brief, from the ASF's point of view an
iCLA [1] is only required for committers, once they get elected. See

Apart from that I fully agree with this quote from Sam Ruby from [4]:

Hi,
You may want to read the documentation of the Apache NetBeans Update
Center in the "infra" section at [1].
AFAIK the "users being banned" is just for a single user (out of
thousands) and seems related to the "closer.lua" script, not redirections.

Hi,

I would also request that we use named key instead instead of a simple array.
