A bit off-topic, but my experience all over the world is that there's a lot
of excitement about the NetBeans brand now. Far more people from around the
world are involved in the development of NetBeans today than there have
ever been in the entire history of NetBeans. :-)

Yeah. I feel that so much damage to the NetBeans brand has been done in the
last year just because of that transition that's it's better to release at
least something. Even re-releasing 8.2 with no changes and naming it 8.3
would be good at this point..
