Personally I like the idea of keeping the backend and frontend themes
separated. Also dealing with the backend markup and screens definitions
will be an enormous effort imo. I will prefer to start with something
doable for now.

It is not useful to create the same layout and theme for frontend and backend.
The ecommerce frontend needs to be more and more adapted to the
"social ecommerce" functionalities.
This is not the case at all for the backend.
The top of ecommerce websites uses today "social ecommerce" with
