Finished up a video on using TomEE in Eclipse. It's pretty great. Uploading
currently.
Going to stay up and try and beef up our release notes. They're generated from
JIRA (see 'ReleaseNotes' main class in the release tools) and what we have is a
little thin.

These release notes are generated -- no human review yet. Any help cleaning is
great.
Any improvements to summaries are also fantastic.

Hi,
I still think that it should be possible to add TomEE from within
Eclipse as a new server runtime to get an experience similar to WAS
8.5 Liberty Profile [1] (i.e. an Eclipse is the desktop experience).
So I was wondering why the download and install button under New

Hi,
I thought I should send this note to you guys cause David does not
really like Eclipse. So David as you can see sometimes not the most

Is there an Eclipse plugin for TomEE yet?
Does anyone have experience with building Eclipse plugins?
I personally don't use Eclipse either but a lot of our customers do.
Now that TomEE is officially released, it would be great to have that as an
option in the main eclipse build, especially
My first shot would be a dump 1:1 copy of the original Tomcat WTP
adapter and have it re-branded to call out TomEE instead of Tomcat
where applicable. We could then discuss what kind of additional option
should be present on the adapters editor page. We should as well
discuss later on how to
There isn't a TomEE Eclipse plugin, but there is an OpenEJB one, which
includes a WTP server for OpenEJB, and a wizard to migrate from EJB2.1 to
EJB3, generating the relevant annotations. I'm no expert but I do have some
experience of doing Eclipse plugins, and did a fair amount of work on the
Simply adding a line tomee is more than enough imo. In particular because

Hi Guys,
Some more performance tests from a Dell PowerEdge 2850 test box.
This box has sync'd disk writes (slower/failproof), 2xDC 3.20Ghz CPUs, RAID5
ext3 NFS over DRBD, 16gb RAM.
JVM spec XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Xmx512m -Xms32m
init time is from INFO: Initialization processed in x ms line
+1 for this thread - maybe rename the subject line and work on this more?
Would be great to see TomEE show up as a distinct option in Eclipse.
