I'd agree to these changes if the svn eol property were checked in at

For the project, we need to decide which eol style to use. Both/either

This issue came up a few years ago while we were in the incubator. At the
time (if memory serves) we decided not to fix existing code due to the noise
on SVN.
I'm happy to commit the changes Donald has graciously provided if folks
agree the noise is acceptable, but I'd prefer to make sure since th
Including DBCP in the lib directory with OpenJPA seems reasonable. We
already include Derby so adding another Apache binary should be fine.
I think I'd be interested in seeing how OpenJPA + DBCP performs compared to
say Hibernate + DBCP or EclipseLink + DBCP. As I understand it Hibernate

Hi Kevin,
Did you get a 404, or is it a case of the page not looking right? Pinaki
mentioned his changes to me and I triggered an early build of the doc

If you enable DBCP and run the quoted benchmark using JPA, what improvement
do you see with the insert throughput?

Pinaki,
Any attempt to improving our documentation navigation is welcomed, but I
can't figure out how to view your proposed changes. Are you expecting us to
download your changes and re-build the documentation? Could you provide a
link to a pre-built version so that we could just "experience" it?
After reading this
http://terrazadearavaca.blogspot.com/2008/12/jpa-implementations-comparison.html
blog post , I decided to do some performance(ish) testing on my local system
and I also came the conclusion that openJPA isn't the fastest out of the
box(I don't think that's a surprise to anyone).
This sounds promising. It's especially nice that they are using Apache 2.0
Licensing. I see that they keep up the nightly builds. I wonder how active
this group really is. If there's a forum, maybe you can ping them to find
out how real they are.
Thanks for finding this.

Kevin,
I did some searching and ran across agimatic-validation[1] by agimatic GmbH,
a JSR-303 implementation in the works. It is published under the Apache 2.0
License. The Hibernate JSR-303 spec jar is currently listed as dependency,
but using it with a Geronimo equivalent may be an option.
