Hi Everyone,
This is a new VOTE to decide if Apache Spark should graduate
from the Incubator. Please VOTE on the resolution pasted below
the ballot. I'll leave this VOTE open for at least 72 hours.
Thanks!

Guys this Github discussion seems like dev discussion in which case it
must be
on dev list and not moved - the whole point of this is that development,
including
conversations related to it, which are the lifeblood of the project should
occur
on the ASF mailing lists.

Hi Matei,
There have been several tracks on Big Data technologies at the past
few ApacheCons and they're definitely worth attending.
Cheers,
Chris

+1 from me.
I'll throw Matei's name into the hat for VP. He's done a great job
and has stood out to me with his report filing and tenacity and
would make an excellent chair.
Being a chair entails:
1. being the eyes and ears of the board on the project.
2. filing a monthly (first 3 months, then q

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to apologize for the general lack of my availability
lately. I thought moving from Rancho Cucamonga, to Pasadena, CA
(over 50+ miles) wouldn't affect my productivity, and with that
and the holidays, and all the house work and moving stuff I've had
to do, coupled with $dayjob

Thanks for considering all the options Patrick. Hope the above helps to

Yep the link should by the dyn/closer.cgi link on the website and +1

with ASF counterparts.

I'm currently downloading the RC (all 127mb of the bin; then onto source).
I have a generic set of Incubator scripts so should go fine after that.
I'm giving you a preview of my minor nit:
We don't VOTE on github URLs -- we VOTE on ASF URLs (e.g., the tag). That
should be corrected in future RC e
t based on the Git history? Would

Hey Patrick,
In response to your question below, no we don't need a KEYS file anymore
if we are committed to using the .asc file from the Apache Spark group
area.

Hi Martin,
OK, so looking at the license for JAMA:
http://wordhoard.northwestern.edu/userman/thirdparty/jama.html
and
http://muuki88.github.io/jama-osgi/license.html
Looks like the later is ALv2 licensed. So JAMA looks good to me,
too.
Cheers,
Chris

Hey Guys,
I replied to Matei about this -- as far as the ASF is concerned, if
it didn't happen on the *ASF* mailing list for the project, then it
didn't happen and thus isn't a decision that binds the project, or that
is defensible from a community perspective.
So let's get that out of the way t
