We are planning to use wicket-velocity and we will post bugs when we find
them ;-)
I would prefer if it stayed where it is now and follows the same release
cycle as wicket core.

I agree, that a large banner pointing to documents for current Wicket
version would be a good idea.
I also arrived at these old pages via Google, and it took me a while
to understand that its' about older versions.

really useful for creating a type-safe, refactorable PropertyModel
It's basically the same idea as wicket models but applied on a
finer-grained level: on object properties instead of objects.
I think it's a really cool idea,

If the wicket related code that you are going to release is a clean,
polished project on its own, and you plan to keep supporting it,
then I think the project deserves its own hosting, instead of being added to
wicket-stuff.
There is a lot of cool stuff and useful ideas in wicket-stuf
