The reason could be, embedded profile configurations are stored
in WF_BPS_PROFILE table using your old certificate details. Since you
change the certificate, start the server after removing the default profile
entry from WF_BPS_PROFILE table.

Yes. As Kim has explained this could due to hostname verification failure
since the default certificates that come in wso2 products are for
'localhost'
You follow the steps in [1] to configure self signed certiticate for your
ip.
Alterntively as a quick fix you can disable hostname verification

I think it is ssl exception.
Because default keystore(wso2carbon.jks) and
truststote(client-truststore.jks) include localhost alias, default setting
would be ok.
So, I think you should create new certification for your ip/domain and
import it to keystore and truststore..
