Hi Axel,
To my understanding, you need to build the full image by yourself.
1. First, flash Nexus 5 binaries for Android 5.1 (LMY47D) as the base image

Hi Fabrice,
LMY47D is released from 5.1.0_r1, our porting is based on this tag.
I think LMY47I could be released from 5.1.0_r3 or newer tag.
But they the same api level, 22, so it is compatible. I also try our build
can work properly on it.

NEXUS-5-L now is based on 5.1. Please flash Android LMY47D image first then
Firefox OS, if you only auto-update gecko.

Is it also compatible?

Sorry about the blank post, still learning how to use lists apparently.
Question - is it possible to flash an image using the b2g flash tool? Any
reason I would need to flash Android first if upgrading from a KK flash?
Best,
Kevin

Hrm, it would be nice to either include it in the flash.sh that b2g has or the
TWQA flash tool and have an option to download the build and flash the device.
I vote for adding it in the TWQA flash tool as an option. :)

Naoki

Hi Naoki, Kevin,
QA flash tool is to flash the images that we build for FxOS like those PVT
builds. It will become complicated if the tool also covers flash android
image. User should go to Google official site to download the image and
follow their steps to flash the base image.

Hi Kevin,
b2g flash tool can update these partitions only, boot/system/userdata.
But in each android release (different api level), there could be some
update in lower layer binary, such as modem firmware. If we don't use the
correct base image, there could be some problem.
