Hi List
I'm trying to compile and run Kannel on a SuSe Linux 7.1 for PPC.
The machine is an IBM RS/6000 44p-270.
The source compiles ok but when i try to run the bearerbox this is what
I get:

Hi. We still have the problem I've described before on the list, even
though I've received no reply...
The problem is, that SMS sendout is delayed by as much as 3 minutes
using EMI2.
This contrasts we had no delay using EMI_IP...
The reason, on the surface, is the following:
Kannel EMI2
Greetings!
i have implemented the multi-cast feature in smsbox.c using http post!
for now it works fine, just need to pass multiple receiver numbers in
X-Kannel-To header with a blank character between them (space, tab, etc...)
I need to do a really massive test (+1) that i think i will
Hi list!
i am trying to implement multi-cast (multi-send) in smsbox.
The problem that i am face with is because the queue list limitation.
Seems that every time that the number of queued messages is higher than
2000 the bearerbox crashes...
I suppose that could be a memory problem, if so we
I suppose that could be a memory problem, if so we could develop a
queue system using the file system and not memory, or extend the
current queue system to use the file system when the memory queue list
is full...
I think that a option, is to write a file to disk for each queued
message (to
if you run in checked memory configuration, this is a safeguard
shutting down kannel as it presumes its a memory runaway situation.
./configure --with-malloc=native switches this off (and makes it a
lot faster).
Thanks Andreas... this one help a lot!
but one problem remains i put
your SMSC probably doesnt accept it at that speed. Lots of SMSC's are
limited in speed (thats not a hardware limit, its a software limit).
If you talk to a friendly carrier, try using windowing (that's for
EMI) and multiple paralell sessions if you can.
it's okay! i am using a test account
I think that none of Ericsson's phone support EMS format text...
Cheers!

This should now be working, with a daily email to the devel-reports
list. The first message will go out around 6:30am GMT tomorrow.
As always, please let me know if it doesn't work...
Thanks,
Dave

The Makefile created should not run ar rc but libtool -static -o instead
Furthermore the following had to be replaced (safe for all platforms
I presume):
replace
wmlscriptobjs = $(wmlscriptsrcs:.c=.o) $(wmlscriptsrcs:.y=.o)
with
wmlscriptobjs = $(wildcard
I'm noticing similar problems for current CVS on Solaris 2.6.
one step back, this was a too early shot.
The problem was solaris' make, gmake works fine.
