First I will check latest CVS and see if my problems still exists.
Although, I have the same problem with CIMD2 DLR reports as recently
reported on the mailinglist and that causes the kannel to crash which
should be fixed..

Does the Linux logrotate help?
I know we'll have this issue in the future. I don't know anything about
logrotate yet, in particular how it interacts with the application which
may assume that it's log file is always open / available for writing...

yes. you can configure logrotate to copy the files or to instruct the
application via a signal to close & reopen the files. Works fine.

logging wrong, it's 4 hour faster then the BOIS time
why?
kannel logs by default in gmt not localtime ...
./config --enable-localtime if you want localtime.
