Hi List,
Was this feature proposed by Stipe ever implemented ?
I think its an excellent idea.

Hi list,
I have some good input on extending Kannel's config handling abilities:
Currently we have
Hi Alex
What are your thoughts on converting the timestamp on the sqlbox field
into a basic scheduler.
So messages are delivered if system time greater = or msg time stamp?

Ken,
I've used SqlBox to handle 200-300K
The easiest way to do this might be to do queue management outside
Kannel itself and interface your queue with Kannel either using membox
or customize sqlbox and build in queuing capbailities into it, and have
a simple round robbin algorithm which could take into consideration user
priorities.
Can we update the 1.4.1 documentation to reflect this ?

Hi Dedy,
I last spoke with Stipe at the end of July. He hadn’t been feeling too well
and said he needed to take a break from work.
I’m not sure he’s back from his vacation. Could someone in Germany check in
on him?

I pulled the latest version of Kannel from CVS and I'm getting this error
when sending to particular SMSC's.
Failed to convert string from UTF-8 to GSM - probably broken type
names.
Take a look at the PDU trace below.
: extract_msgdata_part_by_coding / message split
Hi,
do u define alt_charset = GSM for the first SMSC? It seems yes. Please don't
define this and this should work as expected.

Thanks, that fixed the problem. Would you know why the PDU size still
reads as though it were UTF-8..?
why not? it depends on chars you send.

Would love to .
My NDA with them demands an NDA with you. We have one in principle, but If I
introduce you without one on paper. I could be in trouble.
Did you get a copy of the NDA ?

Hi ,
I have two versions of Kannel . 1.4.0 and 1.4.1 on two different servers
with exactly the same conf file.
When I run the server with 1.4.0 and text a keyword to a shortcode I don’t
get an error.
When I run the server with 1.4.1 and send the exact same message, I get
feedback from the SMSC

Interesting .. but 1.4.0 does not break with the same semantically

It would be great if we could allow this
with a warning for backwards compatibility reasons with 1.4.0 production installations.
Plus it may be easier to patch Kannel than
the SMSC.
What do you think..?

Does anyone have any sample urls of sending addressing an SMS to a specific
port on a phone , using Kannel ?
I know this would involve sending a parameter in the udh header , but I’m
not sure on the specifics .

Thanks Stipe,
This was really needed.
I was wondering if you had thought of supporting HTTP POST and supporting
XML based gateways in 'generic'.
This could be done by
Adding an extra parameter to the group called url-template which would point
to a config file and read the XML template
What are the hosting requirements for the Kannel.org?
