Hello there!
My name is Karl, and I'm wondering if I can be of any (development)
assistance. I know Linux, Java and, to a lesser extent, Qt.
Please don't hesitate to give me a shout back, thank you!

tween reboots.
And I look forward to Firefox downloads to Journal, it is a little
timeconsuming to exit Firefox and open Browse to download a pdf or
other format.
Some annotation tool is probably a must for education.

The control panel called Date and time could maybe be renamed
Timezones as you really don't set or see either date or time with the
current one.

Bert have implemented Etoy saving to the Journal but I guess the
backporting that to older Squeak images Scratch use could be a issue.

ation of the main classes and Etoy classes can be done, it's a
big job and can become a hassle when all kinds of different users have
their own agenda and objectives.
Therefor a plethora of images are available and are specialized for
their use, much like different Linux distributions.

With this, one could start experimenting with features and possible

rent projects ?
Anyway here is a list of things I think would be nice if they where
addressed :-)
-Gnash enhancement as someone mentioned
-Read activity should be able to handle big (>20M) pdf without problems
-Read activity should bookmark where you are at when quiting
-Read activity annotations

Since you use your own image, epaati, you could just load all the
projects and save the image with them loaded. You would have a giant
image but switching would be quick. External projects is more
Congratulations !

I liked this picture from former OLPC worker Ivan Krstic' describing the
startup process:

Olpc-update fails to load any updates for me in after Joyride-1872. It
says there is no such update in updates.laptop.org. Anybody else
experiencing this ?

Zip works great on other platforms, but with Journal and the ZIP UI
using a tiny font is is quite useless.
Html rendering is not great, but works for basic simple html.
What MIME type do you think it should not claim ?

Is there a way to zap the Journal and all the Journal entries and get a
fresh new Journal. Kind of what one do on a USB stick when one delete
the .olpc.store file on it ? Or do I have to reflash the Nand ?
