[ovirt-devel] Re: What is involved in adding new CPU support?

2019-07-27 Thread Hetz Ben Hamo
IIRC, oVirt is getting the CPU support from libvirt, so if libvirt supports it, oVirt should support it. Regarding AMD - I didn't see any new patches from AMD for the new Zen-2 support, and I'm not sure if something changed from Zen-1/Zen+ regarding virtualization... On Sat, Jul 27, 2019 at

[ovirt-devel] USB on host support?

2019-06-29 Thread Hetz Ben Hamo
Hi, I'm in communication with a company that thinks about RHV. One of the requirements is USB host support (which will be on the nodes, not on the desktops). I haven't found any way to connect USB to a VM other then through SPICE, but this method won't help as these dongles won't be on desktops.

Hi, It looks like the Q35 chipset has SATA support for CDROM, but not for virtual hard disk. In many OS's/Appliances - there is no way to use virtio disks, and I can either use the extremly slow IDE with 440FX or nothing else. on Virt-Manager though, you can choose a SATA hard disk. So, is it

Hi, I've migrated few Linux VM's from virt-manager to oVirt. Other than the famous bug that it insist to have an ISO domain - it worked well. My problem is simple: on virt-manager, I created the virtual disks as thin provisioning. ls -l shows the full size of the QCOW2 file and du -hs shows the

[ovirt-devel] the mess with uploading files
