Dear All,
As a long time lurker on this list I've been used to plenty of friendly
banter going back and forth over the years. Think Darrell vs Charlie ;-)
etc...

Dear Devinfo,
There was a thread a while back concerning firewire backup drives.
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of this.
I'd be looking at e-smith 5.6 and an AIT-1 drive.
All the best,
Julian Luton

Charlie,
Will USB 2.0 devices work just fine, but at lower speed, on a
USB 1.1 bus?
I've had no problem connecting USB2.0 HDD's and CDRom drives to USB 1.1
hosts on Apple Mac OS X machines - they just run at the slower speeds.
Also FYI - http://www.linux-usb.org/usb2.html
all the best

hi guys
i know that ReiserFS was built into the RH7.3 kernel and i thought that
sme5.6 was using that very same kernel. Has anyone tried setting this up
on the the 5.6alpha?

I reported this to Bugs a while back - never had it resolved but was
lucky enough to be able to move my client to smtp delivery.
A cut and paste of the original mail to follow for what it's worth...

of them seem prepared to learn ftp.
Any pointers to help me develop a template fragment to cover this would
be gratefully received.

Please
Sorry to butt in here but I just needed something clarifying.
SME 5.12 with an AIT-1 drive and 30gig of data = NO BACKUP
Is this true?
Many thanks,
