As you all area aware I have had this issue with v5.1.2 not giving my WIn XP
Client pc a ip address on it booting up.
So, last night, I upgraded v5.0.3 to v5.1.2, and the DHCP works.
So, I then did a clean install of v5.1.2 and DHCP does not work.
So, all those with the same issue - as there
Sorry for the basic question but attempting to configure e-smith with DEMARC
network monitoring tool, but have stumbled at one of the first attempts.
Installed all the rpms but when I type:-
https://mysite/phpmyadmin
All I get is :- unauthorised to view this page.
Any ideas, as have changed
Is it possible from a experience user of e-smith to do a Network monitoring
install, with say a php or perl web interface. I assume it may include
something like
http://demarc.com/ or
http://acidlab.sourceforge.net/
with a snort backend
I think it would be a good idea for a newbie like myself,
Jus upgraded PHP from the How To, and on completion created the test.php
script. I have run it and got this error:-
Warning: Failed opening '/home/e-smith/files/primary/html/test.php' for
inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/php/PEAR') in Unknown on line 0
Any ideas?

Anyone put a copy of VNC or TightVNC on their e-smith server, and running
them in server mode. Its so that I can dial in via the viewer from my Win Xp
machine and then do stuff in the command prompt on the e-smith server, plus
take screen shots etc.
If so, whats better - TightVNC or VNC?
Also,
I'm confused. What are you trying to do that you can't do with SSH from
your WinXP machine?
Unless I'm totally misunderstanding your question, I think you've missed the
point that there's no graphical stuff on the E-Smith server for VNC to work
with.
I just want to be able to control the server
