I have re-installed the RPM and set up the modem and now the dialin DOES check the
username and password.
I have not figured out why it was not, but it failed to continue to work and so I did
the re-install.
I think it may need more testing to make sure.

I just successfully installed Dialin...but now on reboot I get this error.
INIT: Id "S1" Respawning too fast : disabled for 5 minutes

you running DNS somewhere? If so, you will need to add an entry to your DNS
