It would be interesting to try to build up a picture of what exactly
is happening while we wait for a data request to come back with a
response. We could presumably do this by collecting statistics on one
or more nodes, tracking stuff like:
- Time from a request entering to exiting
- Time for
"Searching can be slow at the moment, so this will open a new window
for the search, you should have a look at the index sites below while
you wait for the search to complete."
Except it doesn't currently open a new window (not since we switched
to Library).

Read it for the details, but basically I'm seeing an intermittent
problem where Webstart can't download the installer. Is anyone else
seeing it?
