Hi everybody,
yesterday I have used DHIS2 without any problem, but since morning I had an

Hi all,
Is there any documentation available for SMS commands that also outlines
specifying the org unit and reporting period? Any additional documentation on
using this feature would be appreciated. Thanks,

Currently, we have two DHIS2 Android apps. Some people have Android phones
without Google Play, e.g. Huawei, and need access to the .apk files without
having to log into the Play store.

I have extended the color palette. Should allow for a combination of
colour/value gradation and fixed classes.

Dear all,
In the pivot tables if we select 2 (or more) Data Elements with the
"Details" option selected and we try to download the table as an Excel, the
spreadsheet only shows one catcombos for all DataElements.
So, if we have one DE named as "Number of Users By Gender" with the
catcombo Gender

Hi Bram
Interesting point about the red-yellow-green combo. These are the traffic
light colours which are apparently sufficiently ubiquitous that you can say
red=bad and green=good without even explaining further. If snooker was as
well known as traffic lights we could do a whole range from red

Yes Nicola, you are right... it is a good combination for that case... also
for high coverage of vaccination... for instance.
I was thinking more in ... high number of cases of ..., high rate of
incidence of..., that generally are not very positive

Marta, my only thought is that in terms of performance indicators, higher

I agree with Bob and since the topic is on the table... I´ve been wondering
for a long time now...
Why the default legend is painting in green the high values and red the low
ones?
I believe that it may apply in some cases, but generally... it ends up in
showing areas high incidence of cases in gr

Hi Bob,
I don't think there's one single rule that will fit all when it comes to
choosing your symbols or colours for a thematic map depicting numeric
values. There's nothing wrong with say a red/yellow/green colour scheme if
you are showing for example reporting rates, where low (red) = bad and h

Others will have to comment on this, but what we should do anyway is to add
more colours to the palette to allow for a combination of the two - fixed
class breaks (predefined legend set) and that nice colour/value gradation
Bob mentioned.

I am no expert here, but I was talking last week with someone who had just

Slight edit: Icons would be nice, but perhaps more usefil would be just
centroid circles with size according to the indicator value in each
district. But then we would also need a legend for size, not just color.

I think that would still be a great feature to have, as it allows you to
compare two indicators for the same layer, one as polygons and one as

values), a

I agree with the definition. My suggestion was to make the 2 concepts you
mentioned 'properties' of (any applicable) data element, instead of data
elements themselves.
If we are to create data elements for all conditions need to be under
surveillance, we need to create 2 data elements per conditio

Hi John,
you must assign to the data set, not the data elements. The attribute
category combos are linked to data sets.

Hi Lars,
Thank you for the detailed explanation which is quite helpful. As always with
new technology, it takes some time to master. I'm rolling up my sleeves and
getting my hands dirty with this. Will surely provide feedback and likely need
more guidance to pull this through.

We had this highly experimental thing called centroid layer where an image
was placed in the "center" of the polygon reflecting the data value. It was
never really production ready.

Hi,
first thanks to Jason for the nice work on upgrading our docs.
In this case John its also relevant to look at the new "attribute" type
categories. The categories as you know them are now referred to as type
"disaggregation" - the new type is referred to as "attribute" and should be
