Re HamPAL
You can try the link below - if it still works you can download the
current beta
from there - bear in mind that the Cat control feature is still in beta
but will work
with the 3 radios mentioned
You will also need the program Irfanview and all Plugins on your
computer as well

Any idea why they chose the WAV file format?
Is it, and the MS version of windows, more a matter
of familiarity or is the WAV file format really the
most efficient of the many alternatives?
Also, anyone know if there are Linux apps that handle
these formats, since an increasing number of Hams

Title: What is the best mode for my operation?
Going back to KQ6XA's reply of 29 Dec...MT63 activity has fallen to near zero over the past year or so. Many of the MT63 operators have gone to Olivia, MFSK, PSK63, PSK31,
ALE/8FSK, etc. I am wondering about my limited operation.

It is a pet peeve that our defense establishment is so
dependent on satellites.
The communist-fascist regime that has mainland China
enslaved and is building a massive military machine with
WalMart (etc) dollars has been building satellite-killer
technology for years.

I may be acquiring a used TenTec Triton IV.
Anyone using one of these for digital modes, including
SSTV, Pactor, PSK31, etc?
Is the relay switching a show-stopper or can that be
replaced with a solid state relay?
I recognize that 100% of the processing would be done
external to the rig and just
The relay keying should not be a problem. I know
nothing about the Triron, but I used a old Kenwood TS-530 for SSTV, Amtor and it
worked just fine for many years.

I have tried this with a Triton IV and a Corsair.
They do an acceptable job if they would stay put on the frequency. I found drift
to be a problem so I quit using themand just use an ICOM 706 radio and my
SGC-2020. Theyhave much better stability.

I'm using a RigBlaster Plus and want to set it up for true FSK keying
instead of AFSK. I can't seem to get the settings and jumpers right in
the RigBlaster. It will key the rig but not alternate the tones. I
have grounded the FSK jack on the radio to verify the keying is
working. My manual makes
When you see the call in the window left click on it and it will
automatically transfer to the logging screen, not the log book file yet,
that happens when your done with the QSO, there you can also transfer
the name and qth and state, lotw et, just highlight the text and right

Mel,
You will not be disappointed with Logger32. In
addition to what Ron said, you can set Logger32 to to automatically look the
callsign up from one of the callbook data bases or to go out on the internet to
www.qrz.co , www.golist.net or www.hamcall.net I use qrz mself. I think there
I think Olivia would be the best mode for this.

I agree with Andy. OLIVIA has worked better for
me between 2 distant points. tried MT63, MFSK and OLIVIA, and came to the
conclusion
that Olivia worked best under poor conditions.
In terms on NTS and traffic handling, what would be
great would be a message "template" which could
Just FYI, the data as to the website use in 2005.
