As college IT employees, we tended to try to keep the older Operatiing
Systems as long as possible. After all, we had them all worked-out, knew
their idiosyncrasies, and were somewhat in control of them. Throwing a new
OS at us, with a change of hundreds of computers just was a no-no. At a

Developers tend to hold on to older machines because they must
continue to support the older versions of Windows.
It will be interesting to see where Vista gains traction beyond the

With two cards, I used my best card (an Audigy 2) to receive,
and the AC-97 to transmit.

A new "Quick Setup" document is now available. This is a simplified,
step by step 3 page document to help the new user get on the air with
WinDRM as quick as possible. Emphasis was given on the set up of
both single and dual sound cards to help avoid confusion that some

router that I use for Logger32. I have port 5 for rig control and
port 7 for PTT. Since Windrm does not provide rig control beyond
PTT, the use of port 5 is not needed. I just have WinDRM set for
port 7 as PTT.
