I'm not sure why, but it seems that most of us tend to stick with the slower
versions of Olivia
even when conditions allow for much faster throughput. The more robust
tone-bandwidth combinations seem overkill when the path is stable so why go
slow?

I myself was unaware of the contest until I saw the CQ's appear on the
waterfall so maybe not enough people heard about it. If you don't have a web
site maybe you and others can get one up before your next contest. I think
people tend to keep web site addresses more than they do emails

As an idea, how about experimenting with PSK63 as a
contest mode instead of PSK31 and thus leaving the
happy PSK31 chatters on their favourite frequencies
