This is my opinion and mine alone. I think that this thread has outlived it
usefulness. You have one saying put your money where your mouth is and
contester need to have busy dect. Then what is good winlids or packeters.

Wow another rant. I don't care for contesting, but they are not the only QRM on
the band. ALE can be, Winlids for sure but wait lets bring up cw and ssb, and
of course AM, this is even during a contest. QRM is a way of life, get over it.

I have to agree with using Ubuntu, and 9.10 is out. I upgraded from 9.04 and
had no problem. You can also copy it to a disk and run it off that to make sure
you like it before you do a hard install.
I do wish HRD was available for Linux and I would dump windoze completely.

Hi Andy, I have the donner rig and digital interface for my IC-738 but I use XP
because my main program is HRD (This is my 6th one). Send Whitey or Carol a
message and ask them, I am sure they give you a quick answer. They have great
service after the sale, and they are true plug-n-play.
