prefer the practice
that W1AW offers me as it gives me some good text to copy and a quick
way to compare my copy with what was actually sent.

Morse Code is no longer a requirement for a license - true statement.
Morse Code practice transmissions are "absurd" - your personal opinion.
It sounds like you want to force your opinion on those of us who still
use or want to improve our
skills in Morse Code.

The printer was replaced, the router had a bad 120V -12V power
converter and that was replaced, TV's remain a problem but are turned
off or powered down (and this is band dependent - one TV tears up 30M
while others do not). DVR is still a problem but I can normally work DX

Hi Roger,
You are correct, there is no contesting on 17M or the other WARC bands.
It's XT2C working split from Burkina Faso.

I'm working toward WAS RTTY on 20M and I see that I still need Maine.
I am looking for RTTY stations in Maine who would be interested in trying a QSO.
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Yes, the bands are good, and maybe very good. I'm using an attic
dipole and low power and a Teletype machine (model 28 ASR). But still, I've
worked all but four of the WAZ RTTY zones and 158 countries on RTTY in the past
18 months. #158 was S01R on 20M this afternoon. It takes luck and
Michael,
Let me see what I can locate over the next two days. I can copy and
mail the article to you from RTTY Journal in 1967.
I see that you are in HI but have a K3 callsign. When did you move
West? I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs. What was your East Coast
QTH?
I also enjoy rag
t $20 for the RF choke, variable cap, diode. etc.
I have the specifics in my collection of RTTY Journals from
1967.
I'm using this keyer today in my Collins T-440/FRT-24 and have worked over
150 countries in the past 18 months so it does supply a nice clean signal.

There was a lot of RTTY Art that used overprinting. AP Tokyo had some
really nice pieces in the 1960's. My all-time favorite celebrated the
Tokyo Olympics.
Still have my small RTTY Art supply on paper tape and looking for another
ham for a QSO. Is anyone interested?

Andy, I recently worked VK6HD on 30M at 2200 Z. Good signals!
Nice to find a zone 29 station as I don't usually hear that part of the world at
this QTH.
I hope that you find a good QSO to VK/ZL land on 40M!

Another option is:
I already have and enjoy HDTV.
It is great, especially the Dolby 5.1 sound and the excellent color
registration / detail on video.
